IMPORTANT UPDATE DECEMBER 2025:

AIH and City of Hope Cancer Center Chicago have formed a partnership to build on the mission of AIH and continue supporting patients through the Supportive Care Services department within City of Hope.

December 2025 – the last month to submit a grant application through AIH. You must have a qualifying appointment in Dec. and also qualify financially.

Dec. 31, 2025 – The AIH grant program will close down

January 2026 – patients will have new opportunities to access support and resources through City of Hope.
More information will be sent at the end of December on
how to access these resources in January.

Assistance in Healthcare, (AIH) was established in 1983 by a group of volunteers in Zion, IL, as a non-profit solely to raise funds to support cancer patients and their families.

AIH has provided financial support to patients undergoing active cancer treatment for over thirty years providing financial assistance for non-medical expenses. Thanks to the generous support of our extraordinary donors and volunteers, AIH supports patients who are being treated in Zion, IL but live across the country.

AIH is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization, which receives no state or federal funding. AIH relies solely on the support of individual donors and sponsors. Donations and gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
